Vidya Balan in Navaratri colours

Vidya Balan is undoubtedly one of the best models of India’s national attire. She drapes the saree extremely well and carries herself with so much elan. Ms Balan can bring to life the most insipid of sarees. Here she is showcasing ethnic outfits in Navaratri colours. I picked up these pictures from Vidya Balan’s official Facebook page.

YELLOW

Vidya looks regal in a mustard yellow flowing ethnic ensemble with gold- and rose-hued accents and a fitting bodice. To break the monotony of the yellow, she chose to carry a rose-hued soft velvet clutch. The exquisite Kundan earrings and large finger ring add to the glitter.

Vidya Balan looks simply stunning in this double hued Kanjeevaram. Her choice of jewellery couldn’t have been more right. The pearl and kundan set vies for attention with the beautiful saree. Vidya hasn’t gone wrong in her choice of hairstyle too. Her hair falls on her shoulder in waves adding to the overall charm. And her Mona Lisa smile looks cute.

GREY

Ms Balan drops her “pallu” in style in this grey chanderi saree-blouse ensemble. She has opted for Kundan jewellery this time too. The large floral kundan pearl drop earrings and large finger ring make for a perfect combination but the absence of a neckpiece is felt here. Perhaps a pearl drop fine necklace would have added to the look. The sleek pulled-back hairstyle looks cool!

ORANGE

The stunning orange Kanjeevaram couldn’t have found a better model than the graceful Tam Brahm beauty. The jhumki looks awesome. Ms. Balan opted for a very traditional hairdo this time. All good but this time too a neckpiece would have done more justice to the look. Don’t miss the flowers on her hair!

WHITE

In this white saree with red border, Vidya Balan could easily pass off as a 60s’ model. She oozes feminine charm in this wonderful body-hugging drape. The large stone-studded earrings add more elegance to the look.

RED

Vidya Balan is dressed to kill in a lovely Banarasi silk saree. She oozes vintage chic thanks to the conventional bun hairdo. The large Chaandbaali earrings add to the style quotient. The bangle is a perfect match.

ROYAL BLUE

I couldn’t find a picture of the charming actress in Royal Blue so I opted for a violet. A closer look will reveal a lot of intricate embroidery on both the saree and choli. The work has zari and pearls from the Mughal era. How interesting! Vidya has completed the look with stone-studded earrings and a finger ring.

PINK

The combination of pink and grey brings in a colour block effect. The comely actress adds more grey to her look by going for a similar coloured clutch and large bracelet. Her mane looks attractive because of the waves. She tops off the look with her sweet Mona Lisa smile.

PURPLE

This time, Vidya Balan wows in a dazzling Banarasi georgette with Paisley motifs. And she has chosen to wear a pretty tie-back choli. The neat plait takes off years from her look. The heavy earrings make up for the absence of a neckpiece.

Now tell me, among the nine above, which look of Vidya Balan impressed you the most? My favourite was the orange.

  1. Vidya Balan effortlessly showcases India’s national attire, the saree, with grace and style. In a mustard yellow ensemble, she exudes regal charm with Kundan jewelry and a rose-hued clutch. Her double-hued Kanjeevaram in green is complemented by pearl and Kundan jewelry, and her wavy hair enhances her elegance. In a grey chanderi saree-blouse combination, she opts for Kundan jewelry again but misses a neckpiece, while her pulled-back hairstyle adds a cool touch. Vidya’s orange saree radiates vibrancy, and she captivates with her choice of accessories and a sleek pulled-back hairstyle. 👗💍👠
