A riot of colours


Colourfully attired Dollu Kunitha dancers perform at the inaugural ceremony of the Bangalore Literature Festival 2013. Dollu Kunitha is an ancient folk dance of Karnataka. The troupe with their large drums gave a banging start to the festival.  The beautiful manicured lawn of the Crowne Plaza @ Velankani Park Electronic City served as an excellent stage.


This man, the lead dancer, was the cynosure of attention.



Vigorous movements, pyramid formations, and loud drum beats are the highlights of this dance form.
